Da Nang has implemented the models of solar power in 25 rural regions at 11 communes in Hoa Vang district. The project has achieved a growing prominence.

After three months of the pilot project on using energy efficiently, Ben Tre Centre for Industry Promotion and Development Consultancy has so far received application forms from 35 households who wish to take part in this program.

Great efforts have been made to improve public awareness about energy savings. Energy efficient appliances have replaced power consuming equipment. Millions of compact lamps and solar water heaters have been used, while many power saving models have been applied to factories and smart/green buildings.

There's no "one-size-fits-all" approach to going solar, but whichever option a homeowner chooses, he's almost certain to save money in the long run. And he can begin reducing his carbon footprint immediately, whether he opts for solar thermal or photovoltaic.
