Mobilizing businesses to move production to off-peak hours

Accordingly, about 5,300 MW of thermal units of Phu My, Ba Ria, Nhon Trach power plants... will not be provided with gas during this time, affecting the operation and supply of electricity to the South
To ensure power supply for the power system in the South during the period mentioned above, the Electricity of Vietnam is directing units to increase power transmission to the South through the 500 kV gridline; thoroughly mobilize hydropower plants and thermal coal resources.
Particularly in HCM City, HCMC Power Corporation will conduct electricity supply in the spirit of restricting power curb to meet the needs of production, trade, services and daily activities of the city; coordinate with districts to continue to implement energy saving measures; organize reasonable plans of repairing, maintaining and upgrading the power grid and inform customers about power cut schedule at least a week early so that they can arrange production and business activities; ensure that power cut shall exceed 5 hours a day and 2 times a month.
Also, the power sector will mobilize costumers with generators to support with diesel power generation during peak hours every day, mobilize businesses in export processing zones, industrial zones to move production time from peak hours to off-peak hours and on Saturdays and Sundays to reduce peak capacity during peak hours.
