Race of solar-energy fueled vehicles

The first competition for solar-energy fueled toy vehicles in Vietnam opened at the HCM City Hi-Tech Park by the HCM City Department of Science and Technology on October 24.
Forty-two teams showed off toy vehicles which use solar power at a competition in HCM City on October 24.

The event attracted 42 teams, including up to 35 teams from HCM City, 3 from Dong Nai, 2 from Binh Duong, one from Khanh Hoa and Vinh Long. Up to 17 teams come from universities and the remaining teams come from businesses, institutes and other organizations.
42 teams compete in three rounds. In the first round, 42 teams were divided in nine groups to play in a round robin to choose the two top teams of each group for the second round. The race track in the first round is 1.5km long.
