Laos, Vietnam cooperate in developing power projects

Accordingly, the two sides will go ahead with My Ly and Nam Mo hydroelectric power projects in Ky Son district, Nghe An province, and draw up plans for further cooperation and investment in hydropower between Vietnam and Laos.
Vietnam and Laos have agreed to cooperate in developing power projects between the two countries. The agreement was reached by the Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Hoang Quoc Vuong and the Lao working delegation led by Minister of Energy and Mining, Sulyvong Dalavong during talks in Vientiane on October 24.
Accordingly, the two sides will go ahead with My Ly and Nam Mo hydroelectric power projects in Ky Son district, Nghe An province, and draw up plans for further cooperation and investment in hydropower between Vietnam and Laos.
The Laos Government selected the Vietnam-Laos Economic Cooperation Corporation as the main investor in the My Ly and Nam Mo hydroelectric power projects with a combined design capacity of 345MW.
The two head delegates also signed a number of other cooperative documents in this connection.
