Quang Nam sets targets for saving 16 million kWh in 2015

To achieve the target of minimum saving of 1.5% of commercial electricity equivalent to 16 million kWh, Quang Nam Power Company has a series of measures, in which public communication has always been prioritized.

To achieve the target of minimum saving of 1.5% of commercial electricity equivalent to 16 million kWh, Quang Nam Power Company has a series of measures, in which public communication has always been prioritized.

Specifically, Quang Nam Power Company intensely deployed the popularization solutions in its public communication with messages of power saving, experience sharing, technical instructions in electricity saving, efficient use of energy, highlights of typical practices in power saving, and the operation and implementation of the project, the programs in supports to shift from power consuming devices to high-performance, economical appliances.

To multiply and scale up the power saving movement, in 2015 Quang Nam Power Company will host the fifth round of communication under the theme "Week for Power saving Communication" in the province. It is to advise families to turn off unnecessary electrical equipment during the Earth Hour. School students will be organized to join in extra-curricular activities when they are instructed and imparted on electricity saving and economical use of power.

For big customers, Quang Nam Power Company shall organize training courses for technical instructions on how to perform the economical use of power with induction into effective solutions. Simultaneously, the communication will also be expanded with various forms to be applicable in organizations, associations, villages, neighborhoods and households, such as visual communication, dissemination of experience through corporate meetings.

In 2014, Quang Nam Power Company is recognized as an institution which successfully completed the public communication in power savings. Many communication programs in power saving and efficiency have exerted their extensive and profound impacts leading to positive changes, such as the power saving communication performed in the secondary high schools, and the contest “Power saving in Offices and Public Buildings” deployed in 2014.
