Dong Nai Power Company Limited (Dong Nai PC) in collaboration with the provincial Department of Industry and Trade held a meeting to review the power saving in 2014 and how to deploy the assignments and tasks of 2015.
At the conference, the representatives of Dong Nai Power Company delivered a report on the achievements in power saving practice in 2014. Accordingly, Dong Nai Power Company appreciated the close coordination of the mass organizations, unions and the Local authorities in the implementation of activities such as: promoting the Earth Hour event, building up the model of "Living Quarter/Hamlet of Culture Save Power", organizing the workshops and conferences with a specialized topic of Power saving for members of associations, mass organizations, unions and students.
Awarding individuals with outstanding achievements in power saving in 2014
Last year, Dong Nai Power Company effectively implemented various forms of communication to promote power saving to all classes of people. As a result, in the province, the saving reached over 253 million kWh, 2.8% of commercial electricity; compared with the assigned norms it surpassed 31% .
In the conference, many insightful experiences of Dong Nai provincial Department of Science and Technology, the provincial Labor Federation, the Women's Union and Dong Nai provincial Youth Union. They shared experiences, best practices in communication with their members, relatives and the community who had worked together to practice energy saving. The representative of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dong Nai Province, Ms. Bui Thi Lieu - the Vice Chairwoman launched the power saving movement in the unions, in which she emphasized the role of local grassroot level and household level. She also proposed to integrate a criteria of power-saving practices in evaluating and voting for the title "Living Quarter and Family/Hamlet of Culture Save Power".
On this occasion, the Director of Dong Nai Power Company rewarded 61 collectives and 75 individuals who have outstanding achievements in power saving practices in 2014.
