In the implementation of the National Target Program on economical and efficient use of energy during 2011-2015, Dong Nai Power Company had saved 667 million kWh of electricity by the end of 2014.

To achieve the results, Dong Nai Power Company has conducted good communication activities. Specifically, the company has provided the training in communication skills for over a thousand communicators across the province, with a contracted team of specialists, lecturers from energy saving centers and universities.

Dong Nai Power Authority together with the Department of Industry and Trade, the relevant departments and People's Committees of districts and communes in the province launched and deployed many movements: Living quarter / hamlets of culture of power saving; Power Saving Families, Power Saving Primary Schools, etc. These communication activities, and the instructions are integrated with the monitoring and rewarding, all of which have obtained positive results.

Up to now, Dong Nai Power Authority has formulated and run 80 electric saving models with the participation of over 20 thousand households. For the education sector, the Electricity of Dong Nai has held nearly 100 sessions of extracurricular activities to help students understand the basic knowledge about the safe and economical use of electricity.

Besides, Dong Nai Power Company also organized seminars and conferences to disseminate the supportive programs initiated by the Ministry of Industry and Trade, and Vietnam Electricity to use power-saving equipment, energy saving labeled equipment and realized the assistance with provision of energy saving compact lamps, and solar hot water tanks.

By the end of 2014, Dong Nai province had granted 30,985 compact lamps and supported with funding to more than 3182 customers for installation of solar hot water tanks. Also in 2014, Dong Nai Power Company became the best unit in power saving of Southern Power Corporation with 235 million kWh saved, the equivalent of VND300 million.

Most recently, Dong Nai province has been selected as the venue for celebration of events , such as "Power Saving Day 2015" with a series of competitions such as: “Dong Nai Women with Power Saving"; "Knowledge in power saving"; "Billboard Painting for Power Savings" .
