From September 21st to September 25th 2015, a training course on “Energy Auditors” will be held by the Hanoi Energy Conservation Center (ECC Hanoi) – Hanoi Department of Energy and General Department of Energy – Ministry of Industry and Trade. This course, one of the activities in response to Vietnam National Energy Efficiency Programme, aims at raising the knowledge of Hanoi enterprises about energy audits.
According to the Law on Efficient and Economical Use of Energy enacted on January 1st 2012, enterprises with high demands of energy (at least 1000 TOEs/year for manufacturers and 500 TOEs/year for entertainment, health care, educational sectors) must build plans of efficient and economical use of energy every year, report the results to local authorities, and have staff who have knowledge of efficient and economical use of energy.
The course includes 66 representatives of technical and managerial personnel from corporations, enterprises of industrial and building-management fields. They will be trained by lecturers of energy audit faculty from Electric Power University and Hanoi University of Science and Technology on the following 8 specialized topics:
- Law and responsibilities of ultilities with high demand of energy
- Energy audits and energy audit system
- Efficient and economical use of energy in lighting system
- Efficient and economical use of energy in electric system
- Energy efficiency management
- Industrial ventilation and cooling system
- Industrial pump system
- Pneumatic ventilator system
According to Dr. Pham Hong Thai, manager of ECC Hanoi: “It is essential to use energy efficiently and economically in buildings and industrial sectors; thereby, cost of energy can be reduced and competent ability and reputation of enterprises will be raised towards decrease of energy cost for community. The course “Energy auditors” will help trainees manage, operate and use energy systems efficiently, also, understand regulations of efficient and economical use of energy.”
At the end of the course, the Department of Industry and Trade will organise an examination for the trainees and the Ministry of Industry and Trade will issue the certificates of Energy Auditors for those who qualify.
