Deployment of Operation "Primary Schools Join Hands to Save Electricity" in Vinh Phuc

Responding to the "National Target Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy", for two days September 28 and 29, 2015, Electricity of Yen Lac in collaboration with Yen Lac district Office of Education and Training and two primary schools of Kim Ngoc (Binh Dinh commune) and Pham Cong Binh (Dong Van commune) organized the extracurricular operation "Primary Schools join hands to save electricity" in 2015.

Responding to the "National Target Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy" for two days September 28 and 29, 2015, Electricity of Yen Lac in collaboration with Yen Lac district Office of Education and Training and two primary schools of Kim Ngoc (Binh Dinh commune) and Pham Cong Binh (Dong Van commune) organized the extracurricular operation "Primary Schools join hands to save electricity" in 2015.

Among the attendants were the representatives of Vinh Phuc Power Company management, the Board of Directors of Electricity of Yen Lac, leaders of Yen Lac district Office of Education and Training, leaders of local authority and some primary schools in the area and more than 2,100 school students of the two schools.

Attending the extracurricular activities, the participants and all students were introduced into electricity-related knowledge, power-saving solutions such as: Turning off the lights, turning off unnecessary electrical equipment when leaving the room; complete switching off the power when the electrical device is not in use; economical utilization of electricity consuming appliances (refrigerators, air conditioners, water heaters, etc.); use of energy saving certified equipment; taking the advantage of sunlight and natural ventilation; using fans or opening doors to get the open-air ventilation instead of air conditioning when it is not too hot ... The students participated  in the attractive and infomative games such as: "Crossword", "Random Quiz", and they were rewarded with exciting prizes.

With the message "small actions of great significance", the extracurricular activity was designed to raise awareness for children about safety and the use of power-saving equipment in schools as well as in the family. Thus, it is meant to encourage a sense of economical and efficient use of electricity in the entire society.

At the extra-curricular activity, Vinh Phuc Power Company and the two schools conducted a general review over the event and awarded the student winners in the contests: "Propaganda Painting Contest", "Writing letter to the future to talk about the utilization of energy resources and joining hands in power-saving".

On this occasion, Electricity of Yen Lac granted 55 gifts worth of VND10 million for poor and disadvataged students, who got high achievements in the academic school year 2014-2015 from both schools.
