In the morning of October 09, 2015, in Viglacera Cooperation – JSC, the signing ceremony of credit contract with Vietnam Development Bank – Transaction Office 1 and EP Contract of supply of technological equipment with the Contractor Von Ardenne GmbH (Federal Republic of Germany) to implement the project “Investment in production line of energy-saving glass with output of 2.3 million m2/year”.
Signing ceremony
Vietnam Development Bank will support investment credit for the project; concurrently, the Contractor Von Ardenne GmbH will provide design, technical documents, commodities, and install production line in accordance with designs, transfer technology, provide training and offer technical support to Viglacera.
This is the first high-tech project on energy-saving glass in Vietnam, which is invested in large scale (5 million m2/year), including 2 stages: Stage 1 – production line 2.3 million m2/year in Tan Dong Hiep manufacturing zone, Di An, Binh Duong; Stage 2 – anticipated capacity of production line at around 2.3 – 2.7 million m2/year in Bac Ninh province.
Signing EP Contract of supply of technological equipment
For the purpose of the efficient and steady operation of glass production line, at present, Viglacera produced the best glass blank in Vietnam in Viglacera Float Glass Company (An Di Industrial Zone – Binh Duong), achieving European standard. Mr. Nguyen Minh Khoa, Director of Viglacera Float Glass Company and also Director of the project of investment in production line of energy-saving glass, said that energy-saving glass has high performance and is processed from flat glass with an ultra-thin coat on the surface, meeting the requirements of functions.
This glass type has low emission and low thermal conductivity coefficient; as a result, these features minimize heat transfer between internal environment and external environment of vitrailed panels, then saving energy costs of air-conditioning systems at 30-40% and still maintaining cooling effectively in summer and heating in winter. To adapt to the weather conditions of Vietnam and general trend in the world, Viglacera selects soft-coated technological equipment, with two product types which are Solar Control and Low-E. Mr. Khoa also believes that the Project will achieve immediate effectiveness in the first year of production.
Signing the agreement on the cooperation of consumption among Viglacera, Eurowindow JSC and Sado-Group JSC
Mr. Dao Quang Truong, Deputy Director of Vietnam Development Bank, emphasized that this was one of the largest project using preferential credit capital sources of the State for investment and development; therefore, legal procedures are employed strictly. However, because of the fact that it is the project of high-technology application, implementing the guideline of the Government on priority over investment in high-technology project, Vietnam Development Bank is willing to offer support and commit to providing sufficient capital source in accordance with the project progress, with a maximum credit fund of over VND350 billion.
The project of energy-saving glass is an important milestone continuing to mark the pioneering role Viglacera in the implementation of guidelines and policies of the State on the development of new high-tech products, eco-friendly and green products; assert active advances in reconstruction of product types, raising competitive power and meeting increasing demand of sustainable application of green products of construction material industry in Vietnam. Viglacera energy-saving glass will replace imported goods as well as strengthen exportation, be active in affiliation and raise the competitive power of Viglacera’s trade mark.
Solar Control Glass: + Coated with non-silver metal layers; therefore, it can be installed with a single layer without impacting on the durability of the coating. It is able to prevent 05-09 percent of light quantum in sunlight which can be seen by naked eyes; up to 79 percent of energy from sunlight and particularly, up to 99 percent of ultraviolet ray. + Saves energy by reducing heating load from outside to inside in order to minimize the cost of operation of air conditioners. Low-E Glass: + Coated with layers of silver metal and have adequate functions for cold weather, ensuring almost sunlight which can be seen by naked eyes to serve ophais illumination inside buildings. + Saves energy by preventing heat loss from inside to outside and decreasing the heat consumption of using air conditioners for heating rooms. |
