This is an event that inherits and continues the series of conferences within the framework of the National Program on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy for the period of 2019-2030 (VNEEP3 Program) - 2023.

Mr. Trinh Quoc Vu - Deputy Chief of the Office of the Steering Committee for Energy Efficiency, Deputy Director General of the Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development, The Ministry of Industry and Trade calls on each individual, organization and member of the Vietnam Electricity Savings Network (VESN) needs to immediately, continuously and practical promote and take solutions on electricity saving practice in the coming years because hot weather is still forecasted to be severe and unpredictable while load demand is forecasted to recover.

For EVN, Mr. Vo Quang Lam – Vice President of EVN emphasized that Vietnam Electricity (EVN) is determined to continue to be a leader in energy efficiency and saving activities in society. EVN plays the role of a pioneer and proactive group in implementing the State's policies and regulations on the economical and efficient use of energy in general; and the economical and efficient use of power in particular. The group has also synchronously performed the implementation plan of Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated June 8, 2023, of the Prime Minister to its member units, in order to turn goals into specific actions for each unit and each locality so that power and energy-saving really goes deep into people's daily life as well as in production.

With the message "Smart use of electricity - Security of power supply", representatives of relevant ministries, branches, localities, and businesses exchanged and discussed the following contents: plan for the implementation of Directive No. 20/CT-TTg dated June 8, 2020, of the Prime Minister on enhancing power saving in the period of 2023-2025 and the following years; plans and solutions for training and propaganda of the VESN Network; solutions to promote power-saving practices of local management agencies; sharing of electricity users about effective solutions in Energy Efficiency practice in the hot season, and so on.

At the conference, Mr. Tran Viet Nguyen - Deputy Head of EVN's Business Department presented a presentation on the situation of power supply in 2023 and the following years, while emphasizing the need for coordinated action between the Electricity sector and stakeholders in the practice of power saving.
