Airzone, a European manufacturer of HVAC control and integration systems, has officially launched its operations in the UK.
The company had said this expansion comes at a pivotal moment for the UK, as it works toward achieving its government-mandated net-zero carbon emissions targets by 2050.
Since its founding in 1997, Airzone has become a prominent name in energy-efficient heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions.
By minimising energy consumption in heating and cooling, the company says it is addressing one of the largest contributors to global CO2 emissions.
The UK expansion includes a dedicated sales team tasked with collaborating with HVAC installers, specifiers and integrators to provide data and insights into specifications and client requirements.
Their focus will be on improving energy performance in both residential and commercial properties, with the aim of enhancing comfort while reducing costs.
The team will also advocate for solutions tailored to multi-occupancy commercial buildings such as hotels and offices, integrating heating, cooling and indoor air quality systems.
Addressing key legislative changes
Airzone’s UK operations are arriving as the country prepares for significant regulatory changes.
Starting in 2025, the Future Homes and Buildings Standards will mandate the use of low-carbon technologies, including air source heat pumps, to decarbonise buildings.
Airzone says its HVAC control solutions will integrate seamlessly with these technologies, offering property owners and facilities managers an easier pathway to compliance with the new standards.
Speaking on the implications of their expansion, Airzone’s new markets EMEA director, Fernando de la Cruz, said: “From 2025, new buildings must comply with the Future Homes Standard and uplifted energy performance targets.”
“Our solutions act as an effective bridge to energy-efficient, compliant buildings. They integrate with a wide range of heating appliances, including heat pumps, and offer full control via the Airzone Cloud mobile app, smart home systems, or building management systems (BMS).”
Partnerships and certifications
Airzone’s systems are compatible with over 170 HVAC brands, including Daikin, Mitsubishi and Panasonic.
Additionally, the company’s globally recognised ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certifications ensure that its products will align with sustainable building standards such as BREEAM and LEED.
The company recently previewed its residential and multi-occupancy solutions at the Smart Buildings Show and CIBSE’s Build2Perform Live in London, citing the positive feedback it received on its ability to streamline compliance with increasingly stringent energy regulations.
Nick Webb, Airzone’s sales account manager for UK and Ireland, commented: “Visitors at both shows recognised that smarter HVAC control is essential to meeting energy standards and creating a sustainable built environment. Our systems offer efficiency without compromising occupant comfort.”
Innovation and sustainability
Airzone added that its commitment to innovation is set to play a key role in transforming UK buildings into more energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable spaces, adding that from homes to hotels and offices, its smart control systems can provide cost-efficient and compliance-ready solutions that align with the UK’s sustainability goals.
