Theo Rick Bergholz, chủ sở hữu TAPC – một công ty tại Wisconsin chuyên sản xuất và bán các hệ thống kiểm soát giao thông thân thiện với môi trường, những hoạt động kinh doanh loại đèn chạy bằng năng lượng mặt trời đã được khai phá.

Sau buổi tập huấn lắp đặt pin mặt trời nối lưới, sáng 15 tháng 10 các kỹ thuật viên Đức và Việt Nam đã bốc dỡ thùng hàng đầu tiên đựng các trang thiết bị pin mặt trời được chuyển từ Đức sang để chuẩn bị cho việc lắp đặt lắp đặt trên mái nhà Bộ Công Thương. Dự kiến việc lắp đặt sẽ hoàn thành trong ba ngày và sau đó là các công việc liên quan tới đấu nối, kiểm tra và chạy thử. Tại Việt Nam, đây là dự án năng lượng mặt trời nối lưới đầu tiên được triển khai tại trụ sở cơ quan Nhà nước.

Tổng thống Hàn Quốc Lee Myung-bak ngày 13-10 cho biết, việc phát triển năng lượng mặt trời, năng lượng gió và những nguồn năng lượng thay thế khác sẽ trở thành động lực tăng trưởng của nền kinh tế nước này trong tương lai.

Enbridge Inc. and First Solar, Inc. have achieved commercial operation of the 80 MW Sarnia Solar Project, making it the largest operating photovoltaic facility in the world. First Solar, a manufacturer of PV solar panels and provider of solar solutions, will operate and maintain the Sarnia Solar Project for Enbridge under a long-term contract. First Solar developed, engineered, and constructed the facility, using its advanced thin film solar panels.

In fact, Phu Tho Province has implemented 30 models of cleaner production. However, these programs have not attracted participation of industrial and craft production cooperatives and craft villages which have made important contribution to local industrial development and created jobs for local people. Because there is a lack of policies on application of cleaner production in craft villages and cooperatives, therefore, information on cleaner production still remain insufficient.

Each household taking part in the project has been provided with financial assistance worth VND1.2 million to build a biogas plant (of this sum, VND625,000 comes from the project’s budget and the remainder from the provincial budget). In places where the project was developed, people took active part in the construction of biogas plants.
