Giám đốc điều hành Sixt Car Rental, Kasper Gjedsted cho biết: "ôtô điện là loại hình đi lại có chi phí thấp, thậm chí ngay cả các phương tiện giao thông công cộng hay taxi cũng khó sánh bằng.". Mẫu ôtô điện phổ biến mà Sixt Car Rental cho thuê là Citroen C1 Ev'ie. Khi sạc đầy pin, nó có thể chạy trên quãng đường khoảng 80-100 km và đạt tốc độ tối đa 80 km/h. Các nghiên cứu đã chỉ ra rằng, ôtô điện có thể "đánh bại" các loại ôtô truyền thống trên phương diện chi phí hoạt động.

Sáng 3/6, tại Hà Nội, Bộ Công thương và Cơ quan phát triển Đức đã tổ chức hội thảo “Hướng dẫn quy trình lập quy hoạch và đầu tư phát triển điện gió tại Việt Nam”.Theo đó, điện gió sẽ được Tập đoàn Điện lực Việt Nam mua với giá cố định 1.317 đồng/kWh , gấp 2 lần so với giá bán của các nhà máy thuỷ điện vừa và nhỏ.

UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said on Tuesday that the accident at Japan's Fukushima nuclear plant suggested that there were large gaps in international systems to deal with safety breaches. According to Mr Vu Huy Quang - PV Power CEO, PV Power plants are operating stably, securely and efficiently, and have high power output. Four units of PV Power have generated commercial electricity: Ca Mau 1 and 2, Nhon Trach 1, Nhon Trach 2 with the stable annual power output of about 12.5 billion kWh, accounting for 15% of total electricity production nationwide. Particularly in 2010, PV Power's total commercial electricity output reached 12.685 billion kWh.

Từ nay đến hết năm 2012, EVN HANOI tiếp tục đầu tư cải tạo lưới điện tại các xã đã nhận bán điện đến hộ đạt tiêu chuẩn kỹ thuật theo quy định, phấn đấu giảm tổn thất điện năng xuống 8%, đồng thời tiến hành xây dựng các trạm biến áp phân phối cho khách hàng là các đơn vị kinh doanh bán lẻ điện nông thôn trên địa bàn thành phố.

Ngày 19/5, tại Hà Nội, Ngân hàng Phát triển Việt Nam (VDB) và Tập đoàn Điện lực Việt Nam (EVN) đã ký kết hợp đồng tín dụng trị giá 4.600 tỷ đồng cho dự án thủy điện Lai Châu. Dự án thủy điện Lai Châu do Tập đoàn Điện lực Việt Nam làm chủ đầu tư với tổng mức đầu tư dự kiến gần 37.500 tỷ đồng.
