The workshop held in Ho Chi Minh City attracts more than 150 representatives of agencies and businesses to participate. Among the representatives from Germany are Mr. Reinhard Giese from Ministry of Economy and Energy of the Federal Republic of Germany (BMWi) and Ms. Christina Ruffert, from the Baden-Wurttemberg International Agency for International Economic and Scientific Cooperation. Representatives from Vietnam side include Mr. Trinh Quoc Vu, Director, Department of Science, Technology and Energy Conservation, General Department of Energy, Ministry of Industry and Trade.

For many years, the Government of Vietnam has been implementing the National target Program on Energy Efficiency and Conservation to meet the indicators of sustainable development policies. This workshop is a good opportunity for enterprises of the two countries to have direct contacts and exchanges, especially the good chance for Vietnamese enterprises to get experience in effective energy management from German partners.
In the framework of the workshop, the German – Vietnamese firms are excited to share helpful information related to key topics such as: "The potential for energy efficiency in the industrial sectors in Vietnam", "Energy Management Practices in Building", "The legal framework for the conservation and efficient use of energy in Vietnam" or "Information for solutions to save energy and works”.
