During April 4-21, 2015 the Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with EVN Hanoi examines the use of energy in 92 key enterprises in 12 districts of Hanoi to assess the level of energy consumption and the observance of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy.

Preliminary results show that about 60% of enterprises have energy audit conducted, and they already assigned their specialized or experienced staff for energy management.

Through the inspection sessions, the Department of Industry and Trade and EVN Hanoi expect that the key enterprises in particular and the electricity consumers in general in Hanoi should be fully aware of energy conservation. Thus, the enterprises need to endorse the energy audits and enactment of the Law on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy for sustainable development of the enterprises themselves and of the society.
