On April 18, Dong Nai Power Company Ltd. held a review meeting on electricity saving in 2014 and action plan for 2015 with the participation of representatives from the departments and mass organizations in the Province and about 200 delegates of power supply units from the districts, Long Khanh Town and Bien Hoa city.

At the meeting, Ms. Bui Thi Lieu, vice chairwoman of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee delivered a speech to launch a movement to encourage power saving practice among people. In particular, households are encouraged to use power-efficient devices, while agencies are encouraged to ensure good performance in power saving movement; monitoring, detecting the irregularities in the use of electricity, to contribute to cost-effective use of energy, to ensure power supply to meet demand of production and domestic activities in the province.

In 2014, the province saved 253 million kWh. In the field of education and administration, 11.8 million kWh electric was saved, 17 million kWh saved in public lighting, 51 million kWh saved in domestic use, and 173.5 million kWh saved in industrial production.

On this occasion, 61 teams and 75 individuals with typical achievements in saving electricity were rewarded and praised.
