87.5 million kWh is the electricity savings of the Southern Power Corporation (EVN SPC) in April, 2015. Thus the 4-month accumulated balance is as much as over 390 million kWh, which reaches 39.2% of the year plan, equivalent to 2.54% of commercial power production.

According to EVN SPC, to achieve this level of electricity savings, many activities have been deployed for power savings in 21 provinces and cities.

The Corporation and its subsidiaries in collaboration with Provincial People's Committee implemented power saving programs such as: Support to Dragon Fruit Farmers Program in provinces of Binh Thuan, Long An, and Tien Giang; Program on "Solutions to support energy saving and efficiency project under ESCO model". Massive deployment of communication programs was carried out in residential areas, culture villages and hamlets on power savings all over the region.

The Corporation also reveals that after consulting with Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, it will cooperate with Dong Nai Department of Industry and Trade to organize the "Power Saving Day 2015 " by the end of May.
