On May 13, in Ha Nam province, Mr. Hoang Trung Hai, Deputy Prime Minister attended the groundbreaking ceremony for the construction of a factory of telecommunication equipment and LED Lighting, organized by KMW Vietnam Company (FDI Korean Enterprise).

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Hoang Trung Hai praised Korean investors in their development of a high-tech project, which is specialized in manufacturing telecommunications equipment to meet the demands of the domestic market and exports, and the aim to attract investment to Vietnam.
Mr. Mai Tien Dung, Party Secretary of Ha Nam Provincial People's Committee, said the investment project of KMW Vina Company Ltd. is considered one of the high capital invested projects with modern technology.
Once the project comes into operation, it will meet the market demand for electronic products, and help diversify the province's industrial products, to contribute to the revenue and create jobs for local workers.
The factory is built on an area of 30 hectares, the initial investment is US$100 million. The operation duration of the project is 50 years from the issuance date of investment licence.
As scheduled, by December 2015, the project will complete the construction, equipment installation and officially come into operation.
With a planned capacity of 220,000 products of telecommunication equipment and 380,000 LED products/year, the project will create employment opportunities for 5,000 workers.
