Vietnam - Russia Signed a Memorandum on Cooperation in Nuclear Personnel Training

On June 2, the Russian State Nuclear Energy Corporation (Rosatom) and Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency (Ministry of Science - Technology - MOST) signed a memorandum on cooperation in training of human resources in the field of atomic energy of Vietnam.

On June 2, the Russian State Nuclear Energy Corporation  (Rosatom) and Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency (Ministry of Science - Technology - MOST) signed a memorandum on cooperation in training of human resources in the field of atomic energy of Vietnam.

The agreement was signed by the Deputy General Director of Rosatom, Mr. Vyacheslav Pershukov and Vietnam Atomic Energy Agency, Dr. Hoang Anh Tuan.

This document aims to reinstate the Memorandum of Understanding which was signed in 2010 between Rosatom and MOST, otherwise duly expires this year. The new Memorandum provides comprehensive support to Vietnam in the field of personnel training with the purpose to develop the nuclear energy infrastructure, and particularly in the training of personnel in MOST, related ministries, agencies and organizations involved in the nuclear industry.

This document also refers to the training of university students and post graduates in Russian universities. The main objective of this Memorandum of Understanding is to train personnel and workforce for the  Nuclear Science and Technology Center, planned for construction in the period of 2015-2020.
