The International Finance Corporation IFC - a member of World Bank Group - has announced the certification system for works of efficient use of natural resources in Vietnam - EDGE.

The EDGE certificate certifies the green buildings, with the objective to help investors reduce 20% of energy and water consumption in buildings while reducing the greenhouse gas emission.
It is expected that within the next 6 years, there will be approximately 20% of new buildings to receive EDGE certificate. By 2021, the program will contribute to the reduction of 19,000 tons of carbonic emissions, a saving of 43,500 MW/hour of power consumption each year.
