HCMC Power Corporation recently organized a series of communication programs on power savings for students in upper primary schools. The program took place at the Office of Information & Communication on Safe and Economical Use of Energy. This is an activity within the plan to propagate the safe, economical and efficient use of electricity for the people, pupils and students in the city.

Participating in the program, the students were taken on a study tour, and introduced to basic knowledge about various sources of electrical energy generation being utilized around the world. Also, the students were guided through the use of energy, focusing on electrical energy in order to ensure safe, economical and efficient use.

The Office of Information & Communication on Safe and Economical Use of Energy, put in operation in 2013, is the place where HCMC Power Corporation coordinates with business units and traders to display and introduce products, energy-saving equipment, safety equipment for electrical use. It is also meant to introduce the renewable or alternative energy sources to help reduce the dependence on the main electrical source.
