The "Studying the construction of a pilot model of urban lighting system which is economical, smart and environmentally friendly" is the study of the use of LED lighting for pilot illumination in some urban areas in Tan An city, to create comfortable lighting environment, to enhance the quality of life for urban residents, to ensure the aesthetic and economical use of energy, environmental protection as the basis for replication across the province cities, as a contribution into making Tan An a civilized - sustainably developed municipality.

The smart lighting model allows remote control over the lighting system, automatically according to a set schedule, and enables the flexible scheduling changes, based on light sensors to ensure saving the power consumption, and maintenance costs while ensuring the lighting demands. The requisite is to use the existing lighting system to minimize the replacement of equipment in the existing lighting systems.

The success of the pilot project will be locally applied, not only to create a comfortable lighting environment for urban residents, but also brings a significant funding from energy saving, as a result of saving from artificial lighting, saving unnecessary  equipment in operation, and the rational management of the whole lighting system. Also it is expected to contribute to protecting and improving the quality of life for urban residents, developing local cultural tourism, an effective solution to minimize the use of electrical energy, significantly to reduce the greenhouse gas emissions and to ensure national energy security, and sustainable environmental development.
