To meet the demand for electricity supply, serving the production, business and daily needs of the people, while it is necessary to ensure continuous power supplies, Ba Ria - Vung Tau provided guidelines to agencies, units and enterprises to enhance the power saving for the last 6 months of 2015 in the province.

The Provincial People's Committee requested the departments and People's Committees of districts and cities to urge the agencies and units in the province seriously to implement power-saving measures and to prepare the action plan for Power-saving Program in the area, under the Government Directive 171/2011 on enhancing the power saving practice.

The Department of Industry and Trade, the Power Company also regularly coordinate with other mass media agencies, the local information agencies to disseminate the messages on specific power saving solutions to people from all walks of life, businesses; the public lighting management units so that they can perform effective power saving solutions.

Since early this year, the province has saved more than 20 million kWh electricity, 10% higher than the planned target.
