On September 25, 2015, the General Directorate (Ministry of Industry and Trade) in collaboration with Hai Phong Industry and Trade Department held a conference on training in “Implementation of inspection under the Law on Economical and Efficient Energy for Industry and Trade Departments in the Northern provinces”.

Representatives of Industry and Trade Departments and Market Management Bureaus in the Northern provinces attended the conference.

At the conference, Mr.Nguyen Kinh Luan – Expert of Energy-saving Office – the General Directorate of Energy presented concerned legal documents; responsibilities of inspection; contents of inspection; prohibited behaviors and rights of inspection on economical and efficient use of energy. 

The conference helped staff of market management understand regulations and decrees of Ministry of Industry and Trade on implemention of labeling and using energy-saving lable such as regulations on the list of facilities and equipment which must be labeled, application of minimum energy performance and implementation plan, and imposing penalty for units which violate and do not implement in accordance with legal regulations.

Mr. Trinh Quoc Vu – Director General of Department of Science, Technology and Energy Saving, General Directorate of Energy recommended that Industry and Trade Departments in the Northern provinces need to immediately implement and put legal documents into reality. To avoid facing difficult situations, staff members in Industry and Trade Departments are required to have a thorough grasp of knowledge of circumtances in which the units violate regulations on labeling products of their units.
