Awards for "Innovative Solutions to Energy Efficiency" Contest

On December 23, 2015, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade sector held a closing ceremony for National Target Programme on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy in 2014 and awarded the contest winners with title "Innovative Solutions to Energy Efficiency".

On December 23, 2015, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade sector held a closing ceremony for National Target Programme on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy in 2014 and awarded the contest winners with title "Innovative Solutions to Energy Efficiency".

This is a contest organized by the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade sector to promote energy efficiency communication among officials of Industry and Trade sector and to enhance the responsibility of the energy users, to create positive changes in terms of consciousness of energy efficiency in the industrialization - modernization of the country.

Only 3 months after the launching (August 15 -.November 15) the Trade Unions all levels of Industry and Trade received 132 entries from 45 participating institutions. As a matter of processing, the Board of Contest Judges, the Board of Organizers decided to award one individual first prize to Mr. Ho Anh Tung - Thang Long Tobacco Company's Trade Union and one collective first prize to Vietnam Chemical Industry Trade Union. There are also two second prizes, three third prizes, three consolation prizes for the individuals; Two second prizes, three third prizes were also given to collective units.

The "Innovative Solutions to Energy Efficiency" contest is within the mandatory tasks of "propagation and dissemination of information to raise the awareness, to promote innovation and to encourage the Economical and Efficient Use of Energy, for Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade sector ".

Mr. Trinh Xuan Tuyen - Deputy Chairman of Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade sector, who is in charge of the tasks, says that the Ministry of Industry and Trade in its deployment of the National Target Programme on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy in the period 2011 - 2015 has obtained many positive results. Through the communication and advocacy, the program has exerted positive impacts on the community, to create a common habitual practice for energy efficiency with the most voluntary willingness of the participants.
