To meet the electricity demand for daily life and production in the province, Tra Vinh Power Company has been actively working on its power supply plan and implementing the solutions to ensure electricity supply in the dry season of 2016.

As estimated by the Tra Vinh Power Company the demand for electricity during Tet holidays and dry months in 2016 increases by 14% over the previous year, the forecasts peak power capacity could reach 128.8MW, forecasting a hard time awaiting for the task of power supply. To ensure the security and continuity of power supply in the dry season of 2016, the company prepares the power supply plan for each month in 2016 and contingent plans to cope with the supply-demand imbalance in the electrical system, then to submit the plans to the Provincial People's Committee for approval before enactment. The Company also arranged a date to work with the Department of Industry and Trade to coordinate the joint advise to the Provincial People's Committee so that the Provincial People's Committee could consolidate the composition of participants, and maintain the operation of the local power supply Executive Board, approve the list of key customers for power supply priority; develop and implement the communication programs on electricity savings, the rational and effective use of electricity.
Besides, the company will also continue to prioritize the funding for the construction to develop the grid system to ensure security, stability and reliability 0f power supply for the entire load in the province, with a capital amount of VND 35.7 billion. It is also to complete and to put into use the investment volume of the project on improvement, upgrade and development of the grid for the Tra Vinh industrial shrimp farming (DPL3) with capital of VND 104.597 billion. The Tra Vinh Power Company will coordinate with Southern Power PMU to accelerate the related construction so that power supply project of Stage 3 for unconnected households, without electricity mainly the Khmer people in Tra Vinh province, could be realized in Quarter 1/2016 and the Long Duc 110kV substation and the connecting line for energized operation also done in Quarter 2/2016. The Tra Vinh Power Company will coordinate with Southern Power PMU, and Power Transmission Company 4 to realize the construction and installation of T2-125MVA and Tra Vinh 2 Transformer station 220/110kV in Quarter 2/2016.
With these specific solutions, Tra Vinh Power Company is determined to ensure the stability and safety of electricity supply in the dry season, especially on the occasion of Lunar New Year 2016.
