Designed view of Tuy Phong Solar Power Plant
The Tuy Phong Solar Power Plant is designed with total investment of USD66 million, equivalent to VND1,454 billion. The plant will be built on an area of 49.93 hectares in Vinh Hao commune, Tuy Phong district. With a capacity of approximately 30 MW, the plant will be connected to the national grid at a voltage of 110 kV double-circuit 110 kV, 1,25km in length and 22 substations of 110kV 40MVA (planned in operation in 2017).
The Tuy Phong Solar Power Plant will start its construction in June 2016 and be planned to be operational in 2017. The plant will not only provide additional clean energy sources to the national grid but also bring economic benefits to the local communities and contribute to protecting the environment and respond to climate change.
It is known that this is the first solar energy project ever licensed in Binh Thuan.
