Dak Lak to Have Two New Solar Power Plants

The officials of the Dak Lak province are currently on a mission in Korea to discuss cooperation programs to build solar power plants.

On April 5th, 2016, Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee and the Solarpark Company - South Korea signed a Memorandum of Understanding on the project to build solar power plants in the province. Accordingly, the total investment is expected to range from USD600 million to USD1 billion, with 40 years (2016-2056) for implementation. The project will be the investment into the construction and operation of solar power plants in the area of lake Ea Sup Thuong, Ea Sup district with a capacity of 300 -500 MWh.

After the signing ceremony, the officials of the Dak Lak province are currently on a mission in Korea to discuss cooperation programs to build solar power plants.

Reportedly, beyond the solar power plant project in the Lake Ea Sup Thuong, Dak Lak province has an agreement with Long Thanh Infrastructure Investment and Development JSC and Namu Company (South Korea) on building a solar power plant in Cu M'Lan (Ea Sup district). The plant has a capacity of 120 MW with a total investment of about USD200 million.
