Training Courses for Energy Managers and Energy Auditors

31/05/2024

The Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development, Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Energy Conservation Research and Development Center (ENERTEAM), organizes training courses for "Energy Managers" and "Energy Auditors" in June and July.

The training program is part of the annual activities of the Vietnam National Energy Efficiency Program for the period 2019 - 2030.
The training courses aim to develop a team of technical experts in energy management and energy auditing who are certified and capable of consulting on energy-saving and efficiency practices for key energy-using facilities, meeting the requirements of the Law on Energy Efficiency and Conservation.
Energy Manager Training Course
The "Energy Manager" training course aims to provide knowledge on energy management as stipulated in Article 33 and to meet the requirements of Article 35 of the Law on Energy Efficiency and Conservation No. 50/2010/QH12; it also shares practical knowledge and experience in operating and assessing key energy-using systems in businesses; evaluates energy-saving projects and builds energy management models for businesses.
The "Energy Manager" training course will take place from June 11-15, 2024 (Illustration).
The participants of this course are graduates from technical fields or fields related to energy management, and energy managers at various units.
The training will last for 5 days, from June 11-15, 2024.
Participants in the course will be trained according to the curriculum of the Ministry of Industry and Trade with a team of lecturers who are experts from the Department of Energy Efficiency and Sustainable Development (Ministry of Industry and Trade), the University of Technology, and ENERTEAM.
The training course will help participants understand the Law on Energy Efficiency and Conservation, energy management systems, and access knowledge on energy savings in large energy-consuming systems such as pumps, fans; electrical systems; compressed air systems; air conditioning and lighting systems, and electric motors and steam systems.
Energy Auditor Training Course
The "Energy Auditor" training course is organized with the goal of minimizing costs and maximizing profits for enterprises through understanding the current energy usage and identifying areas of inefficient energy use; assessing potential energy savings and building an overall energy and cost direction; reducing operational costs through implementing the proposed energy-saving measures outlined in the energy audit report.
The participants of this training are university graduates in the field of energy or related engineering fields, with at least 3 years of experience in the energy field. The training will last for 11 days, from July 1-12, 2024.
At the end of the training course, participants will be certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
The training will enable participants to grasp the regulations of the law on energy efficiency and savings; knowledge of energy-saving opportunities in major energy-consuming systems like electrical systems, compressed air and electric motors, lighting systems, refrigeration and air conditioning systems, steam and fuel systems, calculation methods, and study of some typical energy-saving opportunities.
Additionally, participants will analyze energy-saving projects be introduced to measurement and auditing devices used in energy auditing, and learn how to conduct energy audit reports as regulated.
At the end of the training and after passing the examination, participants will be certified by the Ministry of Industry and Trade as "Energy Managers" and licensed as "Energy Auditors".
