Enterprises and manufacturing facilities in Vinh Phuc province are actively applying various energy-saving measures and transitioning toward green production, aiming to optimize costs, improve production and business efficiency, and foster sustainable development.
Promoting Electricity Conservation
According to a report from PC Vinh Phuc, local industrial zones consume about 200 million kWh of electricity per month. During the peak summer months, electricity consumption increases by 20%–30%, posing significant challenges for optimizing energy use in industrial production.

To address this, the People's Committee of Vinh Phuc Province has issued a Project on Energy Efficiency and Conservation in Industrial Enterprises through 2030. This includes developing model pilot projects to demonstrate energy efficiency in industrial production, which will later be replicated more broadly.
To implement the project effectively, the Department of Industry and Trade of Vinh Phuc continues to collaborate with localities and related departments to intensify awareness campaigns and facilitate access to policies that support energy efficiency in production. The department also promotes the use of the energy efficiency demonstration model across industrial sectors.
For its part, PC Vinh Phuc works with major energy-consuming enterprises to adjust production schedules, reduce operations during peak hours, and encourage the application of energy efficiency standards, use of high-performance technologies, and investment in modern equipment to replace outdated machinery.
Currently, Vinh Phuc Province has nearly 90 major energy-consuming enterprises and over 200 near-threshold businesses. To maximize energy savings, the province integrates energy development planning with socio-economic development plans and prioritizes the development of green industrial zones and industries using clean and renewable energy.
Enterprises Respond Positively
Operating in the fields of automotive and motorcycle parts, metal surface treatment, painting, plating, and metalworking, Lam Vien Vinh Phuc Industrial Co., Ltd., located in Khai Quang Industrial Zone (Vinh Yen), consumes a large amount of electricity monthly. The company identifies efficient and economical energy use as a key solution for sustainable growth.
In collaboration with the Industrial Development Center (under the Department of Industry and Trade), the company has signed an energy audit service contract and is implementing a variety of energy-saving measures, such as: Developing an energy management system based on ISO 50001; Monitoring and assessing key energy consumption areas; Reducing air compressor pressure settings and eliminating leaks (achieving 99% leak reduction); Replacing 150 halogen bulbs with LEDs; Replacing all fluorescent lighting in office areas with LEDs; Installing variable frequency drives (VFDs) on processing machines like tapping and stamping machines to reduce energy consumption.
Thanks to these comprehensive improvements, the company has managed to cut electricity consumption by 2–3% annually, thereby lowering production costs and increasing profit margins and market competitiveness.

Khanh Du Trading Co., Ltd., located in Dong Van Commune (Yen Lac District), is a private enterprise identified as a key energy user in the province. In addition to investing in modernizing production lines and equipment, the company places a strong focus on efficient and economical energy use, avoiding waste to reduce production costs and enhance product competitiveness.
The company has proactively adopted technical improvements and invested in modern technology to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs, thereby minimizing environmental impact and boosting production effectiveness.
Specific measures include: Replacing underloaded motors; Using soft starters or resistors to reduce start-up current; Installing VFDs on large-capacity motors; and Using digital relays to automatically turn off and adjust lighting hours based on seasons.
The company also emphasizes employee training, regularly promoting awareness and knowledge about energy saving. It assigns dedicated staff to manage and monitor energy-consuming equipment, keep records of energy usage, and adjust energy consumption benchmarks.
Across Vinh Phuc Province, businesses are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of electricity and energy conservation. The benefits of energy efficiency not only support the economy, environment, and society but also help enterprises improve profitability and competitiveness.
