Within the framework of the “Vietnam Scaling Up Energy Efficiency Project" (VSUEE), the in-depth online seminar series titled “Energy Efficiency – Investment Effectively” kicked off with Webinar 1: “Promoting Energy Efficiency in Vietnam’s Industrial Sectors.”

The webinar series is expected to create an open connection platform, enabling industrial enterprises to gain better access to information, resources, and investment opportunities in energy efficiency solutions. It is also one of the key activities of the VSUEE communication campaign, aiming to raise awareness, promote action, and deliver technical and financial support directly to the ultimate beneficiaries: industrial enterprises.
At Webinar 1, representatives of the Project Management Board introduced in detail the activities and objectives of VSUEE, including technical and financial support, as well as the benefits for industrial enterprises and financial institutions participating in the Project.
Mr. Do Thien Duc, Communications Officer of the VSUEE Project, introduced an overview of the Project.
Project expert MSc. Nguyen Manh Tuan, consultant and energy training specialist at Saigon Innovation Hub, delivered a presentation updating the latest technologies and energy efficiency solutions currently applied in industry. These technical insights provided businesses with a more concrete and practical perspective on the applicability of advanced technological solutions to enhance production efficiency.
Mr. Nguyen Manh Tuan, consultant and energy training specialist at Saigon Innovation Hub, presented on energy-saving solutions in key industries.
Within the framework of the webinar, a deep-dive discussion session lasting over an hour was held, creating space for direct exchanges between enterprises and the project’s technical experts. Here, business representatives raised many practical issues related to selecting and accessing new energy efficiency technologies, integrating technological solutions into existing production lines, as well as ensuring efficiency and safety during operation. The technical recommendations provided not only helped businesses gain a clearer view of solution feasibility but also offered specific guidance on design, operation, and system monitoring to ensure long-term energy efficiency and sustainability.
More than 100 delegates from industrial enterprises participated in the open discussion.
The next two webinars of the Project will take place in the coming period. The second session, themed “Financing for Energy Efficiency Enterprises – Opportunities and Challenges,” will focus on introducing the credit guarantee financing mechanism through the Risk Sharing Facility (RSF) – a key component of the VSUEE Project.
The third session, expected in the first week of October, will focus on the topic “Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) – The Key to Promoting Energy Efficiency in Industrial Enterprises.” It will explore the ESCO investment cooperation model between enterprises and ESCOs, introduce the types of ESCO contracts commonly used in Vietnam and internationally, and analyze key factors to ensure efficiency and safety in implementing energy efficiency investments without requiring large upfront costs.
