Tập đoàn Hàng Không Vũ trụ Quốc phòng Châu Âu (EADS), công ty sở hữu hãng máy bay Airbus, đang trình diễn một chiếc máy bay bốn chỗ chạy bằng dầu ép từ tảo tại triển lãm hàng không quốc tế diễn ra ở Farnborough, Luân Đôn tuần này.

Airbus Fly Your Ideas là cuộc thi được tổ chức hai năm một lần bao gồm ba vòng thi được một ban giám khảo của Airbus và một số chuyên gia trong ngành đánh giá. Vòng chung kết được tổ chức tại International Paris Airshow - Le Bourget, Pháp vào mùa hè năm tới. Các đề xuất của dự án phải được nộp trước ngày 10/12/2010. Những ứng cử viên được lựa chọn vào vòng 2 sẽ tiếp tục phát triển và đệ trình các ý tưởng chi tiết với sự hỗ trợ của nhân viên Airbus.
