This program is part of the project "Piloting the economical and efficient use of energy in households" implemented in 10 districts of Hanoi. The project is scheduled to begin in 2010.

The program is coordinated by Hanoi Energy Efficiency Center collaborating with Hanoi Women’s Union. According to the project all compact lighting bulbs are going to be distributed free of charge to the households participating in this project. The light bulbs can be received at local women’s association in the wards within the city.

With 10,000 compact light bulbs to be used at home, the organization department expects a considerable improve in residents’ perception of energy efficiency and thus helps save a significant amount of energy for the society, progressing towards national energy stability.
