To conserve energy, the company has replaced all high-pressure fluorescent lighting in the production plant with LED bulbs. Additionally, it has replaced outdoor high-pressure lights with solar-powered lighting and segmented lighting circuits based on production lines and specific areas. This transition has significantly reduced electricity consumption for lighting while also contributing to environmental protection by lowering emissions and heat discharge.
The company has also installed variable frequency drives (VFDs) for cooling tower pumps and chiller systems on the C2 Green Tea and Red Dragon Energy Drink production lines. It has implemented an automatic cooling tower fan control system based on temperature, installed a descaling system for the air compressor cooling tower to save electricity, optimized the CIP (Cleaning in Place) process to save water and steam, installed a hot water heating system using waste steam from the condensate discharge line, and set up a water recovery system in bottle-washing cycles.

Strengthening the Role of the Energy Management Board

URC Hanoi has established an Energy Management Board to monitor and control all energy-related activities across the company. The board promptly detects and addresses any energy wastage and inefficiencies, proposing solutions to improve energy use. It also implements disciplinary actions for individuals and teams violating energy-saving policies.
Internal management and equipment maintenance play crucial roles in supporting energy conservation at URC Hanoi. Alongside operational supervision, the energy management team regularly organizes training sessions to enhance awareness and knowledge about energy conservation and environmental protection for employees. The company also encourages innovative ideas to optimize processes and save energy in production.
