The Plant is built in Nam Dinh Power Center, fueled by the coal from Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group as the main supplier.

The Conference of the 5 Year Plan Period of implementing the National Target Programme on Energy Efficiency during the period 2011-2015 was held by Ministry of Industry and Trade in cooperation with the Vietnam Energy Conservation & Energy Efficiency Association.

The project goal is to reduce 236,382 tons of CO2 by improving energy efficiency in commercial buildings and condominiums in Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi.

An inception workshop on industrial boilers adoption to achieve energy conservation in Vietnam

The Seminar on "Current status, needs and orientation for management of database on economical and efficient use of energy in Building" has been organized by Science, Technology and Environment Department - MOC in the cooperation with United States Agency for International Development in Vietnam (Vietnam USAID) on January 7, 2016 in Hanoi.

The project was implemented for two years, from January 2014 to December 2015.

It is power saved, energy security ensured for the benefits of the economy and the environment, a major policy of the Party and State.

The cooperation between Vietnam and International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has been pushed up since 2000s. Through cooperative projects, IAEA made a significant contribution to the development of capacity and advancement of research, expansion and application of atomic energy of Vietnam.

Strategy for renewable energy development in Vietnam toward 2030 and vision to 2050, recently approved by the Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung, with a series of mechanisms and policies of priorities, and breakthroughs, is expected to generate strong thrust into the development of this promising sector in Vietnam.

On December 23, 2015, the Vietnam Trade Union of Industry and Trade sector held a closing ceremony for National Target Programme on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy in 2014 and awarded the contest winners with title "Innovative Solutions to Energy Efficiency".

On December 11, the Environment Protection Association in collaboration with the Department of Building and Vietnam Clean Energy Program (USAID) held a seminar "Green Building Development and Energy Efficiency"

On December 16, 2015, Da Nang Department of Transport held a workshop on development of sustainable and green indicators of Da Nang City, directing towards the development under Vietnam National Green Growth Strategy published by the Government over the past time.

During December 01 – 04, 2015, the General Directorate of Energy – Ministry of Industry and Trade and the Danish International Development Assistance ran a training course on “Optimization of energy use in technological system of kiln” – session 1. Technical experts from 3 regions of Vietnam attended the course.

On December 3, in Phu Tho, the Electricity of Vietnam - Northern Power Corporation (EVNNPC) organized "Review Ceremony on Emulation Program of Power Saving Families in Phu Tho Province in 2015". This is the first prominent event in the series of pro-customer activities deployed by EVNNPC during the month of "Gratitude to customers - December 2015" which had been launched by Electricity of Vietnam.

During November 25-27, 2015, the leading international exhibition on water sector, water purification technology and waste water treatment in Vietnam (Vietwater 2015) was held by Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA), Ministry of Construction and Southeast Asian Water Utilities Network (SEAWUN) in the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Giang Vo Exhibition Center), Hanoi.

For two days, November 30, and December 1, 2015 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the European Union Delegation in Vietnam, the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Energy Research Centre of Asia held a workshop on the legal foundation to be laid for energy statistics in Vietnam. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong attended the workshop.

November 27, 2015. In Vietnam German Center, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, a Workshop "Presentation on the results of research, design and manufacture of prototype of biomass gasifier stove and its deployment with high capacity using compressed biomass fuel pellets" was held by the Center for Innovative Consulting and Sustainable Development Research (CCS).

Economical use of energy or green energy use will bring many benefits to the economy and the environment. This fact has been demonstrated evidently in many major cities around the world. Vietnam also has many solutions, specific support policies to realize the application of energy saving solutions and green energy use in production and daily life

On November 17, 2015 in Hanoi, Ministry of Industry and Trade and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) signed the project document "Promotion on the utilization and operation of Industrial Energy-Efficient Boilers in Vietnam".
