During November 25-27, 2015, the leading international exhibition on water sector, water purification technology and waste water treatment in Vietnam (Vietwater 2015) was held by Vietnam Water Supply and Sewerage Association (VWSA), Ministry of Construction and Southeast Asian Water Utilities Network (SEAWUN) in the Vietnam Exhibition Center (Giang Vo Exhibition Center), Hanoi.

For two days, November 30, and December 1, 2015 in Hanoi, the Ministry of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the European Union Delegation in Vietnam, the International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Energy Research Centre of Asia held a workshop on the legal foundation to be laid for energy statistics in Vietnam. Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade, Mr. Hoang Quoc Vuong attended the workshop.

November 27, 2015. In Vietnam German Center, Hanoi University of Science and Technology, a Workshop "Presentation on the results of research, design and manufacture of prototype of biomass gasifier stove and its deployment with high capacity using compressed biomass fuel pellets" was held by the Center for Innovative Consulting and Sustainable Development Research (CCS).

Economical use of energy or green energy use will bring many benefits to the economy and the environment. This fact has been demonstrated evidently in many major cities around the world. Vietnam also has many solutions, specific support policies to realize the application of energy saving solutions and green energy use in production and daily life

On November 17, 2015 in Hanoi, Ministry of Industry and Trade and the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) signed the project document "Promotion on the utilization and operation of Industrial Energy-Efficient Boilers in Vietnam".

On November 5, 2015, in Hanoi, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) in cooperation with the Embassy of Iceland held a seminar on "The future of clean energy."

On November 3rd, 2015, in Washington, DC, the Embassy of Vietnam in the United States in collaboration with the Business Association of Overseas Vietnamese - US foreign affiliates (BAOOVUS) organized a seminar "Vietnam-US Business Partnership for Energy Development".

During October 20-23, 2015, at the Giang Vo Exhibition Centre, Hanoi, the International Fair took place for show of Vietnamese industries (VIIF'2015), organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with other related ministries and agencies.

On October 16th, a Seminar between Vietnam and Japan on drainage and sewage treatment system - Developing workforce and tendency to access cutting-edge technology in drainage and sewage treatment system - was held by Department of Technical Infrastructure, Ministry of Construction of Vietnam in Hanoi.

In the afternoon of October 09, 2015, in Da Nang, Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam Journalists’ Association, Vietnam Electricity and Central Power Corporation together held “Nationwide Journalism Awards for Communicative Messages on Economical and Efficient Use of Energy the 2014 Eight Round”.

On October 09, 2015, in Viglacera Corperation JSC, the signing ceremony of credit contract with Vietnam Development Bank – Transaction Office 1 and EP Contract of supply of technological equipment with the Contractor Von Ardenne GmbH (Federal Republic of Germany) to implement the project “Investment in production line of energy-saving glass with output of 2.3 million m2/year”.

On October 01, 2015 in Hanoi, Vietnam Energy Association held the first tenure of Entire country representatives Conference (term 2015-2020) to establish the Medium and Small Hydropower Association - Green Energy.

Vietnam has huge potential of renewable energy sources, widely distributed across the country, with nearly 3,400km of coastline to provide potential wind energy resources, estimated at 500 -1000 kWh/m2 per year.

Vietnam Journalists' Association and the Ministry of Industry and Trade have officially announced 32 works winning the nationwide journalism award "Communicating to raise awareness of Economical and Efficient Use of Energy 2014".

Prime Minister has approved the list of Project “Promotion of use and operation of energy-efficient industrial boilers in Vietnam”, granted an aid given gratis by United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) from aid sources of Global Environment Facility (GEF).

From September 21st to September 25th 2015, a training course on “Energy Auditors” will be held by the Hanoi Energy Conservation Center (ECC Hanoi) – Hanoi Department of Energy and General Department of Energy – Ministry of Industry and Trade. This course, one of the activities in response to Vietnam National Energy Efficiency Programme, aims at raising the knowledge of Hanoi enterprises about energy audits.

Pursuant to the National Strategy for Green Growth by 2050 approved by the Prime Minister, Vietnam identified three strategic assignments: Reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and promotion of clean renewable energy; green production, greening of lifestyles and promotion of sustainable consumption.
