If we could clean the air, we could recycle air that already has the perfect temperature,” explains Matthew Johnson, a professor at the University of Copenhagen, who invented “CleanAir”, the device that acts like an all-in-one dehumidifier, cooler, heater, and cleaner.

The inventor says his device can cut the energy use by 25%. Moreover, it can prove itself healthy for those who suffer from asthma, allergies, of whatever age or sex. CleanAir supposedly removes particles, viruses, ozone, bacteria, organic solvents, hydrocarbons and cigarette smoke from the air.
The patented device has been tested at the University of Copenhagen where it cleaned 40 different compounds from the building in only a few minutes of functioning.
Johnson relied on naturally-occurring processes for air cleaning and adapted them for use in buildings. A scaled version is in the works, aiming to improve a technology that can remove volatile organic compounds (VOCs) from industrial smokestacks, making factories a lot cleaner.
