Different from lighting system at offices and apartments, lighting system in hotels must guarantee both lighting demand and aesthetic factor. Therefore, Fortuna hotel uses many kinds of lamps, from Fluorescent Pulsed Light (FPL) lamps at the hall, LED lamps at the restaurant and meeting room and compact lamps at bedrooms to high pressure halogen lamps on the fence and around the building.
Installation and arrangement of lighting system within the hotel was considered carefully. Lamps work at suitable capacity. Apart from electricity efficiency, the lighting system makes the hotel more beautiful and attractive. In addition, the hotel utilizes solar rays to light corridors and stairs. Vinh said that the lighting system consumes a large amount of electricity, therefore, this system has large potential to conserve electricity. Therefore, the management board pays attention to technical and management methods to reduce electricity consumption in this system.
The hotel has 20 floors with total the using area of 19,000sq.m. The elevator and escalator system work continuously, consuming a large amount of electricity. There are 11 elevators which were imported from Republic of Korea and Finland in the hotel. Inverters which control operation of elevators have been installed.
