More electricity for the North – South 500kV grid

Dak Nong 500 kV substation, with the capacity of 900 MVA, was built in Nhan Co commune, Dak R'Lap district, Dak Nong, with the total investment of VND600 billion. The 220kV grid of Dong Nai 3 Hydropower Plant - 500kV substation of Dak Nong has the length of over 30km.

On November 15th, Mr. Nguyen Tien Hai, Director of the Project Management of Southern Electric Works (under EVN), said that the unit has successfully powered on the 500kV substation in Dak Nong and the 220kV grid of Dong Nai 3 Hydropower Plant.

In the coming time, the unit will continue to power on the 220kV grid of Dong Nai 4 Hydropower Plant with the 500kV substation of Dak Nong. The operation of those works is to help reduce the power shortage of the whole country, because the 500kV substation of Dak Nong will transfer power to the north - south 500kV grid from the following hydropower plants: Dong Nai 3 (180 MW) ; Dong Nai 4 (340 MW); Dong Nai 5 (120 MW); Buon TuaSarh (86 MW); Buon Kuop (280 MW); Dak Tik (144 MW); Serabok 3 (220MW) and Serabok 4 (80 MW) .
