IITF 2010 was held by the India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO) under the Indian Ministry of Commerce and Industry with an aim to introduce domestic products and promote trade exchange with countries all over the world.

Over 400 companies from 38 countries including the UK, France, Germany, Russia, Japan and the Republic of Korea along with more than 7,000 exhibitors from the host country displayed products in fields such as information technology (IT), construction, machinery manufacturing, transportation, electronics, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, jute products, rubber, fine handicrafts, jewelry, and consumer goods.
