After successes of peanut sowing machine and rubber latex harvesting machine, Le Thanh Binh always wants to have more inventions to contribute to the country’s development. Recently, he successfully produced a sea wave power electricity generator. This machine took part in the Vietnam Exhibition on Technologies and Equipment 2010 held in Quang Ninh Province.

At this exhibition, the electricity generator was highly appreciated by experts due to its advantages. The most typical advantage is that it can be used for ships which travel on the sea.

Le Thanh Binh said: “One day, when I was watching a reportage film on people’s life on an island. People here are facing many difficulties among which the shortage of electricity is the biggest. The reportage film made a deep impression on me. I decided to find a method to help people living on the island.”

He started with designing and buying necessary materials. He made huge efforts to study and design the machine.  After three months, the initial product was finished. He was both happy and worried. He started the machine but it did not run.

He knew that it was not easy to produce the machine. However, the machine did not run, he was very discouraged. But thinking of difficulties facing people on the island, he continued to adjust each part of the machine. Finally, the perfect machine was produced successfully.

The machine includes five main parts which connect smoothly with each other utilize sea wave power to start the electricity generator. The floating work based on the sea water level. The machine is put on the land.

Luu Van A, the director of the Center for Electronic Information, under the Department of Science and Technology, said that the sea wave power electricity generator contributes to scientific and technological development and the electricity development in particular, especially in the context of serious shortage of electricity.

At the exhibition on rural industrial products held in the city of Da Nang in October 2008, the peanut sowing machine won the third prize. This product got the second prize at the third contest on technical creations in Quang Tri Province in 2009 and was given the certificate of merits by the province People’s Committee. T

he Quang Tri Province Science and Technology Association introduced this product at the contest on technical creations at national level. Following this success, he studied and produced a rubber latex harvesting machine. This machine has many advantages. The typical are producing high quality rubber latex and doing no harms to rubber trees. The peanut sowing machine and rubber latex harvesting machine were introduced at the ASEAN plus Three Exhibition on Technologies and Equipment in 2009 and attracted many orders.

With these successes, Le Thanh Binh was given the certificate of merits by the Ministry of Science and Technology. He improved the rubber latex harvesting machine to promote its advantages and reduce its weaknesses.

At present, Le Thanh Binh has a private company. He said: “with a modern production line, my company will meet demands of all orders within and outside the country”
