According to Mr Vu Huy Quang - PV Power CEO, PV Power plants are operating stably, securely and efficiently, and have high power output. Four units of PV Power have generated commercial electricity: Ca Mau 1 and 2, Nhon Trach 1, Nhon Trach 2 with the stable annual power output of about 12.5 billion kWh, accounting for 15% of total electricity production nationwide. Particularly in 2010, PV Power's total commercial electricity output reached 12.685 billion kWh.

To date, PV Power has had 24 member units, with over 1,300 professional and highly qualified employees with the ability to operate and manage the most advanced power plants and projects. With the charter capital of VND 12,238 billion, PV Power is a core corporation of Vietnam National Oil and Gas Group.
In 2011, PV Power shall continue to promote power production and trading; improve power production in Ca Mau 1, 2 power plant, Nhon Trach 1, 2, Nam Cut Hydropower plant, Phu Quy wind power plant; continue to well perform the investments in Nhon Trach 2 Thermal Power Project, Thai Binh 2 Thermal Power; Hua Na Hydropower, Dackdrinh Hydropower; Luang Prabang Hydropower, Phu Quy wind power plant, Hoa Thang wind power (Binh Thuan), Ninh Thuan Wind Power...
In the future, PV power will prioritize the development of clean and renewable energy. Mr. Do Chi Thanh - PV Power’s Chairman of the Board - stressed that in 2015, the corporation would reach the capacity of 9,200 MW, including 2,700 MW of gas fired power, 6,000 MW of coal-fired power, 500 MW of hydropower, wind power and other clean energy, and strive to achieve the output of 36-40 billion kWh of electricity, accounting for 20% of total electricity production nationwide.
