A German company has built five new solar plants and connected them to the UK’s National Grid.
They have a total capacity of 62.5MW – enough to power around 20,000 homes.

The solar power plants enjoy the benefits of the Renewables Obligation scheme, which provides incentives for the deployment of large-scale renewable projects in the UK.
Andreas Hoffmann, CEO of Greencells said: “We are very pleased to have completed these projects in the UK with the help of innovative products from Huawei. We look expectantly towards a successful future in the UK PV market.”
The company has so far installed 165MW of projects in the UK.
