E.ON has awarded a contract for a 400MW wind project located off the south coast of England.
JDR will supply the subsea cabling technology and services for the Rampion Offshore Wind Farm, which will provide enough electricity to power around 300,000 homes.
It will design and manufacture 142 kilometres of cables among other technologies for the project.

Energy Secretary Amber Rudd said: “Our offshore wind industry isn’t just generating electricity, its generating jobs here in Britain. This is fantastic news, which will bring world-class technical expertise and high-quality jobs and business opportunities to the North East.”
