The training course is phase 2 of the steam system optimization training for industrial experts. This training is part of Component 2 – Capacity Building Program of the project "Accelerating energy efficiency in large industries through energy management systems, system optimisation and the promotion and adoption of energy efficiency in small and medium-sized enterprises" (IEEP project), supported by the European Union (EU).
The four-day training courses for participants all over the nation.
The four-day training gathered 38 participants, including energy auditors, technical staff from energy service companies, and consultants in the field of energy efficiency and industrial steam systems. The opening session included notable figures such as Mrs. Nguyen Thi Ngoc Lan, National Project Manager; Mrs. Pham Thi Nga, National Technical Advisor for the IEEP project; and Mr. Riyaz Papar, an international expert from UNIDO.
The training aimed to reinforce the knowledge from phase 1 and practice the use of tools to assess the energy utilization of industrial steam systems. On June 26 and 27, practical sessions were held at Hanoi Beverage Company (HABECO) in Mê Linh and Xương Giang Paper Factory in Bắc Giang. Participants conducted measurements and evaluations at key areas like steam production (boiler workshops), steam distribution systems, main steam-using processes and equipment, and condensate recovery systems to identify opportunities for energy optimization.
