Aqualogy are pleased to present a new innovative aeration control system to the UK market, the atl platform. This pioneering solution is used in Wastewater Treatment Plants to increase energy efficiency and optimise the operating processes. It can be adapted to any plant configuration providing flexible and adaptable solutions tailored to any biological treatment.
Compared to conventional control methods, the atl Platform can reduce up to 20% of the kW consumed and up to 30% of the overall energy costs of the WWTP. To achieve these results, the platform utilises dynamic strategies to manage influent variations and ensure most efficient plant conditions and performance.

With direct on-line measurements for effective and reliable process control and real time data processing for continuous water treatment evaluation, the platform guarantees 100% compliance with the treated water quality requirements.
The atl platform has been successfully installed in more than 100 WWTPs worldwide, meeting different requirements and delivering measurable benefits. In a recent application, the platform was installed in a facility in Spain with high variability of influent load in order to reduce the energy consumption, while ensuring effluent quality. A tariff strategy was carried out with the platform’s nutrient module to boost night-time energy consumption, reduce concentrations of nitrogen and increase energy savings during the day. The implementation optimised the aeration supply of the plant, saving up to 25% of energy costs while maintaining treated water quality requirements. Click here to read the case study.
