Canadian Solar said it brought an extra five solar plants online in the fourth quarter of 2015.
They will generate nearly 24,000MWh of electricity every year and reduce more than 16,500 metric tons of Carbon Dioxide annually.

The news follows the government’s announcement to reduce support for the renewable source in the country.
Shawn Qu, Chairman and CEO of Canadian Solar said: “We are delighted to announce the grid connection of an additional five projects, bringing our fleet of solar power plants in commercial operation in the UK to 63.1MW.
“We are proud to make our contribution to the adoption of clean solar energy in the UK while at the same time creating lasting value for our shareholders.”
