This plug-in electric vehicle is based on the chassis of the 2000 Lola Indy Car and, according to the developers, could set a new world record for efficiency. The DeLaSalle electric car is composed of an ultra lightweight aerodynamic body, dressed with Bridgestone Ecopia EP100 tires. The DeLaSalle School student team has also developed the electric car’s driveline and electric propulsion system.

During tests, the car managed to achieve the equivalent of a 300 mpg fuel economy and the team has also sent a request to the Guinness World Records to consider their EV as a new entry in their book.
