Participants to the event, which was hosted by Da Nang Technology University and the British Council, touched on the use of solar, wind and tide-generated energy in Vietnam and the UK alike as well as research to turn wastes into environmentally friendly products.

Vietnam’s industrial development strategy for the 2011-2020 period with a vision to 2030 aims to promote the efficient use of energy, renewable energy and energy-saving technologies and reduce greenhouse gas emissions through the development of sustainable organic agriculture.

The same day, an exhibition on clean energy also took place in the city.
