The Southeast False Creek Neighborhood Energy Utility, or N.E.U., supplies space heating and domestic hot water to local buildings using heat recovered from wastewater and raw sewage. “This is a test case for Vancouver,” said Chris Baber, the N.E.U.’s manager. It is also the first “district” energy system in North America to draw heat from untreated wastewater. There are only three similar projects worldwide: two in Oslo and one in Tokyo.

Sáng 27 tháng 5 năm 2010, tại trung tâm Hội chợ triển lãm quốc gia Hà Nội đã khai mạc Hội chợ triển lãm quốc tế năng lượng hiệu quả, môi trường lần thứ 2 - ENTECH HANOI 2010. Triển lãm có quy mô hơn 200 gian hàng trên diện tích trưng bầy 15.000m2 với sự tham gia của 150 doanh nghiệp trong lĩnh vực năng lượng và môi trường. Các Doanh nghiệp nước ngoài đến từ Hàn Quốc, Tây Ban Nha, Trung Quốc. Triển lãm sẽ kéo dài tới hết ngày 30/5/2010.

Ngày 25/5, tờ Thời báo Tài chính của Hà Lan đưa tin hãng sản xuất xe hơi hạng sang Daimler của Đức và hãng sản xuất xe hơi Toyota của Nhật Bản đang có kế hoạch cùng sản xuất pin nhiên liệu cho xe điện.

At the ARS National Center for Agricultural Utilization Research (NCAUR) in Peoria, Ill., ARS chemist Badal Saha conducted a 5-year study that examined whether wheat straw -- a crop residue left over after the grain has been harvested -- could have commercial potential for cellulosic ethanol production.

Bill Weihl, Google's green energy czar, said Thursday that's not the case. "We don't want to become an energy trader, or God forbid the next Enron," he said, when asked about the plans at the GreenNet conference in San Francisco. Công tác tuyên truyền về các giải pháp tiết kiệm điện đến nhân dân còn hạn chế, chưa tạo được ý thức tiết kiệm với người dân. Công tác phối hợp thực hiện giữa ngành Điện với cấp chính quyền địa phương thiếu chặt chẽ và đồng bộ, nên việc thực hiện tiết kiệm điện chưa cao.
